No-AC calls at 9pm get answered and booked, even when your techs are out

Your phone books the job while you're on a job. The call gets answered. The job gets booked for real. A confirmation email goes out. A bird's-eye map shows where the jobs and customers are. The built-in CRM takes the same job from estimate to invoice to paid through Stripe. An HVAC after-hours answering service and HVAC call answering line that stays on when the shop is closed.

What a missed after-hours call costs

Use your numbers. Missed calls per week times your close rate times average job value. The result is work that never hits the calendar. These starter figures are an example you can change, not a VoiceJelly statistic.

Formula: Calls missed per week × Close rate (%) × Average job value ($).

Example you can change: 6 × 35% × $400 = $840. Work that never gets booked (weekly).

After-hours calls are the ones you can't afford to miss

No-cool in July and no-heat in January go to whoever answers first. If your line is voicemail at 9pm, that homeowner calls the next HVAC shop. The AI answers every call, day or night.

Intake that works like a dispatcher

It asks the questions you configure and notes urgency: system type, symptoms, whether anyone vulnerable is at home, address, and whether they are an existing customer. That is intake on the record. It does not auto-sort jobs by an urgency score. You read the notes. If you want emergency language to ring a phone, that is the optional forwarding setting.

Emergencies can go to the on-call tech

Optional forwarding can send a live call to the owner or on-call tech when your rule matches. Tune-ups and estimates still get booked on the calendar, with a confirmation email. The AI handles the whole call and books on its own if you leave forwarding off.

First heat wave of the season

When the first heat wave hits, every caller can be answered and booked into open slots. You are not hoping a part-time receptionist can keep up. Deposit-required can hold a booking and email a Stripe payment link.

Deposits, estimates, follow-up in one place

The built-in CRM takes the same job from estimate to invoice to paid through Stripe. A bird's-eye map shows where the jobs and customers are. The same record holds the deposit link, the estimate, the invoice, and the payment. Follow-up stays on that job, not in a voicemail pile.

FAQ

Can it tell an emergency from a tune-up?

It asks about symptoms, who is at home, and the other intake questions you set, and it notes urgency on the record. It does not auto-route by an urgency score. If you turn on optional forwarding for emergency language, those calls can go to your on-call tech. Tune-ups and estimates get booked.

Does it work with my existing number?

Yes. You can buy a VoiceJelly line or forward your existing business number to VoiceJelly. Keep your published number and forward when you are busy, after hours, or cannot pick up. Setup steps are on the call forwarding help page.

Can it mention after-hours fees?

Yes, if you put them in its instructions. The AI uses the greeting and intake you configure, including after-hours fee language you write.

What if a caller asks for a person?

The AI answers first and can book the job on its own. Transfer to your team's phone is an optional forwarding setting you can turn on if you want. VoiceJelly does not supply its own receptionist staff. Transfers go to your people.
